Won on competitive tender, with a brief to make Merseyrail the easy, enjoyable choice for leisure travel across the region, across multiple seasons, audiences and campaign phases.
The challenge was building a platform flexible enough to shift from summer family days out to autumn adventures, without losing its identity. Consistent, but never repetitive.
We built the campaign entirely around bespoke illustration, bright, characterful and ownable enough to cut through across digital and out-of-home. A visual system designed to travel across the whole year without ever feeling like a different campaign.
Work that had to do more than look good. It had to land in the real world, and influence behaviour.
